Thursdays rehearsal was AWESOME!!!
Nearly ALL kids were memorized!!!
April Johnson stepped into the rehearsal and literally got goosebumps from our kids voices.
Our kids are ridiculously AMAZING!!!
THE POST BELOW THIS ONE IS THE UPDATED REHEARSAL SCHEDULE!!
PLEASE COPY AND PASTE-THEN PRINT IT OUT!!!
NO REHEARSAL ON HALLOWEEN!!
Next rehearsal is November 7th.
Everyone needs to be to this rehearsal...
EXCEPT ROOSTER, LILLY and HANNIGAN
If your child does not have NYC memorized, please have them learn it completely before November 7th. Thanks guys.
Hopefully your kids came home and told you how exciting the blocking is for NYC. Our amazing choreographer, Erin Carlson, is a miracle worker!! She was able to wrangle two casts about 60 kids, organize them into several different groups, assign your New Yorkers actual legit characters and begin the blocking for this scene. ERIN WE LOVE YOU!!!
(be sure to ask your child what their NYC character is!!)
Teresa and I were doing character work with Hannigan, Rooster and Lilly and blocked their first scene!!! very exciting!!
PARENT VOLUNTEERS!!! Thank you for signing up on "sign-up genius" for helping man our rehearsals. Parents are only needed on "EVERYONE" rehearsal days.... Teresa and I will have a list for you on the door as you enter the stage area, explaining exactly what we need help with. Unfortunately, by the time some of the parents arrive at rehearsal, we are 15-30 minutes into our practice and cannot stop to explain what we expect you to do.... We apologize for not having those in place at last rehearsal. Thank you for your patience and support. Our parents are the best!!
Speaking of sign-up genius. Thank you in advance for all of the help you are going to donate towards putting together an amazing show!!!! We cannot put these productions on with the help of our parents......
Teresa and I are in the process of putting together a list of all of our volunteer opportunities which you will be able to sign up for. Remember all volunteer time counts towards your hours. And it doesnt have to be you, if you have a brother-father-nephew who is handy, they could help us build the stairs we need, or assemble our flats. These are a few examples of things we will need help with to make this the best production ever; concessions during show nights, painting, building a few key parts of the set(nothing hard), putting the set together the week before the show opens, ushers, someone to find our props, SEAMSTRESSes-we have SEVERAL things we need made (bloomers for ALL of our orphans, red annie dress, and old fashioned usherette costume, and a few other things here and there). More to come on these volunteer opportunities.... there will be a "sign-up genius post" alerting you that sign ups have begun!!
Have a fun week off and see your kids on November 7th!!!!
